The Role

We are seeking an experienced Autonomous Vehicle Safety Specialist to join our operations team in the UK. As a key member of our diverse and dynamic team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of road safety by testing and refining our self-driving vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test our autonomous vehicles on public roads and provide real-world feedback to our research and development teams.
  • Maintain high safety standards and report any issues or hazards to ensure safe testing at all times.
  • Evaluate our AI during tests and provide expert feedback to our engineers to improve vehicle performance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of our vehicles' systems and capabilities to provide effective support to our engineering teams.
  • Support our safety and engineering teams by contributing to the development of procedures and guidelines for safe testing and operation.

Requirements:

  • A full clean UK driving license and at least 8 years of driving experience, mainly in the UK.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to empathize with others.
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude, with a passion for problem-solving and innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent (Google Suite).
  • BASIC NAVIGATION SKILLS: Understanding how to navigate the home screen, open and close apps, and switch between apps.
  • TYPING AND TEXT EDITING: Using the on-screen keyboard for typing, selecting text, and using copy, paste, and other text-editing functions.
  • CONNECTING TO WI-FI AND MANAGING SETTINGS: Knowing how to connect to Wi-Fi networks and manage settings like brightness, volume, and Bluetooth.
  • USING BASIC APPS: Proficiency in using basic apps like Safari for web browsing, Mail for email, Photos for managing pictures, and Calendar for scheduling.
  • TROUBLESHOOTING BASIC ISSUES: Handling common problems like app crashes, restarting the device, or resetting network settings.
  • Advantageous qualifications include ADI, Emergency Response Advanced Driver, or similar driving qualifications, as well as extensive knowledge of London and the Home Counties.

Working Hours and Location

This role is based onsite at our office at 230-238 York Way N7 9AG. The shift pattern is Monday to Sunday, 40 hours per week, including weekends. We offer competitive compensation, estimated at £35,000 - £45,000 annually, depending on experience.
