Job Title: Director, Epidemiology & Real-World Evidence

ViiV Healthcare is a global specialist HIV company with a strong portfolio of antiretroviral medicines and a commitment to advancing HIV treatment, care, and prevention. We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Epidemiology & Real-World Evidence to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Director, Epidemiology & Real-World Evidence will be responsible for developing and executing epidemiology and real-world evidence strategies to support the safety and effectiveness of our products. This will involve partnering with senior leaders and colleagues across R&D, Safety, Medical Affairs, and Commercial to identify evidence needs and design and deliver appropriate studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute epidemiology and real-world evidence strategies to support product safety and effectiveness
  • Partner with senior leaders and colleagues to identify evidence needs and design and deliver studies
  • Lead the planning, documentation, and dissemination of epidemiology and real-world evidence strategies
  • Negotiate research agendas and scopes of studies with regulatory agencies
  • Present company positions on disease burden and drug effectiveness/safety at external meetings
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. or DrPH or ScD in Epidemiology/Public Health with 3+ years of post-graduate experience in epidemiology
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry or academia or public health
  • Experience in the practical application of epidemiologic methods
  • Experience in cross-functional or matrix team leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience interacting and negotiating with regulatory agencies
  • Research experience in the HIV/Infectious Diseases field
  • Experience in conducting pharmaco-epidemiology studies
  • Familiarity with regulatory and healthcare compliance guidelines/policies
  • Demonstrated scientific leadership through conference presentations and publications in scientific journals
