We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and managing medium-sized programs or multiple smaller programs.
Key Responsibilities- Program Management: Lead programs to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules, and budgets in an Integrated Program Team working with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, Finance, Quality, Aftermarket, and Business Development.
- Financial Management: Manage the P&L of the programs to ensure profitability targets are met and manage multiple sub-tier suppliers.
- Strategic Planning: Develop milestones, program plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure that the organization's objectives are met.
- Communication: Consolidate and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the programs.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and react to program problems and recommend solutions, such as allocation of resources, changing contractual specifications, or coordinating responses to customer action items.
- Business Development: Support the development of new business opportunities.
- Customer Focus: Act as internal and external customer focal.
- Contract Negotiation: Support the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operation budgets, specification, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect interests.
- Change Management: Manage program scope increase or decrease via change management processes.
- Computer Literacy: Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite and JDE/SAP).
- Education: Educated to Degree level in a Technical Discipline.
- Formal Training: Formal PM training or accreditation such as PMP or APM is highly desirable.
- Commercial Knowledge: Commercial knowledge/awareness and a strong focus on the delivery of objectives.
- Program Planning: Good program planning skills (Microsoft Project or Primavera).
- Earned Value Management: Knowledge of Earned Value Management.
- Program Management Experience: Proven strong program management skills and experience in leading programs.
- People Leadership: Proven people leadership in a matrix organization.
- Customer Exposure: External and internal customer exposure experience.
- NPI Product Lifecycle: Knowledge of NPI product lifecycle – JDP, PDR, CDR, and FAI.
