Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve service delivery, quality, and patient safety.
- Lead on budgetary management, working closely with the General Manager to ensure financial sustainability and strategic goals are met.
- Foster a culture of excellence, driving high-quality patient-centered clinical and support services across the specialties.
- Collaborate with colleagues to review and redesign services, ensuring they meet the needs of patients and align with key performance indicators.
- Support the General Manager in planning future capital developments, ensuring facilities are designed around services and meet the Trust's Strategic Plan.
- Develop and implement effective processes for monitoring and managing elective and emergency activity, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective action.
- Analyze complex data, making informed decisions to drive performance improvements and achieve national and Trust targets.
- Determine information needs and establish timely data collection mechanisms to support capacity and demand analysis.
- Support the General Manager in planning and implementing cost reduction initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Ensure adherence to Trust Standing Orders, Standing Financial Instructions, and policy framework.
- Lead on business planning, participating in a corporate approach and agreeing proposed commissioned activity with relevant clinical leads.
- Deliver safe, efficient, and effective care through non-clinical management, supporting and empowering clinical leadership teams to implement change and improvements.
- Manage non-clinical staff, ensuring compliance with Trust employment policies and developing mechanisms for performance appraisals and continuous professional development.
- Promote a high-performance culture, holding people accountable and conducting performance management reviews as needed.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in collating data and business case preparation.
- Able to make informed decisions after analyzing options and implications.
Essential Experience:
- Strategic planning experience.
- Implementing change management projects to develop or improve services.
Desirable:
- Senior management experience in the NHS or related sector, including direct management of staff and non-pay budgets.
Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum
