Surgical Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Surgical Care Specialist to join our team at Winfield Hospital in Gloucester. As a key member of our perioperative services team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional standards of clinical care to our surgical patients, working closely with a dedicated team and directly reporting to the Ward Manager.
Your primary objective will be to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout the surgical journey, from pre-admission to discharge. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to identify areas for service improvement and implement evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess NMC registration, high standards of clinical competence, sound written and verbal communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Demonstrated customer service skills, computer literacy, and flexibility to cover on-call duties are also essential.
The estimated salary for this position is £42,000 - £58,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include 25 days' leave + bank holidays, buy and sell flexi-leave options, private pension, flexible shift patterns, and enhanced parental leave policies.
