Homicide Family Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Homicide Family Caseworker to join our dedicated team at Victim Support. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional support to families bereaved by and witness to homicide, delivering a tailored package of support to service users and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a complex caseload to the highest quality standards, providing trauma-informed advocacy and support to service users.
- Work closely with Police Major Crime teams, providing briefings on the work we do in the Homicide Service.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including police, courts, and other agencies.
- Travel to home visits within and occasionally outside of the area, using a car and being reimbursed for all travel costs.
Requirements:
- Understanding of the impact of crime on victims and their families.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering services and working directly within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting.
- Ability to balance competing needs and priorities, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality support to service users.
- A successful track record of building effective working relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
