Safety Engineering Lead
Thales Underwater Systems is recruiting a Safety Engineering Lead to join our team in the UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of safety engineering activities for our major projects, ensuring the timely delivery of all safety artefacts and requirements.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of safety management processes and experience in implementing and delivering safety engineering activities.
They should also be knowledgeable about formal hazard identification and assessment techniques, IT-based hazard log management systems, and product environmental, material, and safety-related legislation, regulation, and standards.
In addition, the candidate should have experience within the defence domain and working with associated defence standards, or knowledge of equivalent safety management processes from similar safety-critical domains.
This role will require SC Clearance, and the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years' residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
