Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Safety Engineer to join our team at Thales Land and Air Systems (LAS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the design and delivery of products that meet international safety standards and can be safely used by our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage safety-related activities within bids and projects to ensure the end product risk has been reduced so far as is reasonably practicable.
  • Lead and conduct hazard analysis activities and develop safety and environmental requirements for IAS products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Provide direction to design teams for the implementation of requirements and design features to provide the necessary safety assurance and safety argument.
  • Work closely with project and product team members, members of the S&EM team, customer project team members, and customer subject-matter experts.

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced safety engineer with a strong background in product safety standards and legislation. You will have a broad knowledge of product safety engineering and environmental management practices, as well as the ability to define and implement sound engineering design principles and methodology.
