About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Engineering Specialist to join our team in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. This role will involve developing close working relationships with key customers' technical contacts, ensuring that business opportunities are recognized and responded to appropriately at an early stage.

The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in an engineered product manufacturing environment, with strong relationship building and communication skills. They should be familiar with 3D AutoCAD and have strong general IT skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers' technical contacts.
  • Support the development of new products and product enhancements.
  • Perform engineering calculations, examine specifications, and expedite and process engineering changes.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and design practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to create ideas and develop solutions, overcoming challenges to meet customer expectation.

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
