Job Title: Lead / Head of Project Management

Job Summary:

The Lead / Head of Project Management will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the Project group, managing high-profile projects, and overseeing a portfolio of projects that include customer-facing driving simulator projects and internal R&D initiatives. The individual will be accountable for ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to the Project group and its teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Lead certain high-profile projects as the designated project manager, ensuring successful delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Accountable for a portfolio of all projects, including customer-facing driving simulator projects and internal R&D projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Develop and implement project management tools, methods, and processes to improve the overall capability and efficiency of the project management function.
  • Lead and develop the procurement team to take a more strategic approach to project purchases while balancing cost-saving initiatives with high-quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in project/program/portfolio management in a technical and/or engineering environment.
  • Recognised project management qualification and/or affiliation (i.e. APM, PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Critical Path, Lean Six Sigma etc.).
  • Experience in managing and reporting the financial elements of projects.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams, and coaching individuals.
