The post-holder will be responsible for conducting statistical analysis relating to multi-morbidity within the Pharmacokinetic and clinical Observations in PeoPle over fiftY (POPPY) Study, as well as analyses relating to other new and ongoing research studies within the Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Perform analyses of data from the POPPY study (and its sub-studies) and the HPRU, as agreed with Professors Sabin and Winston.
- Perform some data management duties relevant to the POPPY study and the HPRU, in collaboration with other data managers/statisticians working on these studies.
- Contribute to design and analysis of clinic-based research questions from collaborators both within UCL and at other academic and clinical institutions.
- Write based on original research for peer-reviewed journals, as agreed with Professor Sabin.
It is essential that the candidate has a master's degree in Medical Statistics or a closely related subject, and an awarded (or submitted) PhD within a closely related field. Experience in the analysis of longitudinal HIV datasets and a demonstrable knowledge of multimorbidity and sleep disturbances is essential.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills, with an ability to communicate statistical concepts effectively to those with only minimal statistical knowledge. The candidate must also possess excellent organisation and time-management skills and demonstrate a strong team-work ethic.
What We Offer- A competitive salary range of £42,000 to £50,000 per annum (including London Allowance).
