Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Adult RGN to join our Border Stroke and Margaret Kerr Unit. The successful candidate will have experience in either stroke or palliative care, or a strong interest in developing their skills in these areas.
The stroke unit provides 14 beds for direct admissions and repatriation from medical wards, with a focus on ongoing rehabilitation. We have recently linked with NHS Lothian to provide a 5-day/week thrombectomy service, and we will be receiving patients directly post-procedure for ongoing care. Our multidisciplinary team works together to deliver person-centered care, adapting quickly to the ever-changing environment.
The Margaret Kerr unit is an 8-bedded palliative ward, offering care and support for patients and families with complex needs, symptom management, and end-of-life care. Our team works closely together, supporting each other in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
As a member of our team, you will have opportunities for training and professional development. Shift work includes nights, days, and weekends, and we offer a welcoming and supportive environment.
