Job Summary

This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity, working closely with our visionary team to shape the future of our forward-thinking company. As an Exterior Buyer – Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction and commercial management of exterior components in line with our global strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and complete production supplier contracts within the exterior commodity area.
  • Support and manage the negotiation and completion of production supplier contracts within the commodity area, aligning with our senior buyer.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, and other support functions to develop supplier strategies and ensure we leverage best technology, cost, and quality.
  • Conduct and evaluate assessments of potential suppliers and work with our engineering partner to create sourcing recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships, including supplier evaluation and risk management.
  • Ensure suppliers can fulfill program targets, including timing, cost, quality, and technical attributes.

Requirements

We are looking for a skilled and experienced procurement professional with:

Procurement/purchasing experience within a manufacturing/production-based environment.Exposure and experience in negotiation.Strong influencing skills with experience of creating and maintaining networks across all levels of the business.Understanding in developing structured commodity strategies.Basic understanding of QAF analysis.Eagerness to learn from experienced senior buyers.
