About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Buyer – Exterior components to join our highly skilled and dynamic Strategic Sourcing Team at Forseven, a revolutionary company transforming the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices.

This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Warwick, Bicester or Guilford, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the strategic direction and commercial management of some of the plastics components in line with the global Forseven Plastic Strategy.
  • Negotiate and complete Production Supplier Contracts within the plastics commodity.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality and other support functions to develop the supplier strategy and ensure we are using the leveraging with best technology, cost and quality.
  • Conduct and evaluate assessments of potential Suppliers and work with the Engineering Partner on the creation of Sourcing recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships, including supplier evaluation and risk management.
  • Ensure that the Supplier can fulfil Programme targets, including timing, cost, quality, technical attributes.
Requirements
  • Procurement/Purchasing experience within manufacturing/production-based environment.
  • Exposure and experience in negotiation.
  • Strong influencing skills with experience of creating and maintaining networks across all levels of the business.
  • Understanding in developing structured commodity strategies.
  • Basic understanding of QAF analysis.
  • Eager to learn from Experienced Senior Buyers.
