Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist

The postholder will support young people in the care of our CAISS team, managing complex caseloads and working collaboratively with clinicians and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include assessment, planning, and evaluation of care programs, ensuring high standards of service delivery and contributing to strategic planning. The postholder will foster a culture of networking with internal and external partners, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the trust's policies and procedures.
Main duties of the job- Contribute to the quality, safety, and continuous improvement of services provided to service users and their families.
- Work with young people experiencing significant mental health difficulties, at risk of entering inpatient care or reintegrating into home, school, and community.
The Camden Community CAMHS comprises community teams across the borough, working with children, families, and carers referred to the service. This includes complex work where child protection issues may be a concern, requiring the postholder to work autonomously and within professional guidelines.
Person SpecificationQualifications
Essential
- Degree level as a minimum, plus developed specialist and practical knowledge equating to postgraduate degree/Masters level (Nursing).
- NMC Registered Nurse.
Essential
- Evidence of clinical experience working with client population (children and young people), managing complexity and risk while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
- A comprehensive understanding of the changing NHS and Social Care environment and the challenges they face.
- Experience of working at all levels of the system with internal and external stakeholders.
