About the Role

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Chadwick Lodge in Milton Keynes. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our services facilities, ensuring a safe and well-presented environment for our service users, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Assist in ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose.
  • DIY and Repair: Utilize good DIY skills to ensure the safety of service users is maintained.
  • Regular Checks and Maintenance: Assist in regular checks and maintenance to identify and repair any faults.
  • Building Maintenance: Assist in the repair and maintenance of all buildings, including decorating and other tasks as required.
  • Liaison and Reporting: Liaise with a manager to report all faults and defects, and participate in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
  • Contractor Coordination: Coordinate and support contractors while on site, and complete all necessary paperwork and tool checks.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Have previous experience within a maintenance role, preferably in a healthcare or social care setting.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work effectively as part of a team and independently, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Service User Focus: Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times, ensuring they receive the highest quality of service.
  • Training and Development: Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge.
