Job Title: Registered General Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered General Nurse to join our team at the NHS. As a Registered General Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced acute hospital setting. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care and promote patient safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing individualized care plans to meet their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring that patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and promote a culture of teamwork and open communication.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the required standards of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse.
  • Experience working in an acute hospital setting, preferably in a surgical ward.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using electronic patient records systems.
