Job Title: KS2 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in the BS6 area of Bristol.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, where the successful candidate will be expected to work as a 1 to 1 SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting the learning and social development of a pupil with ASD needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with the SENCO and Class Teacher to understand the pupils' needs and how to meet their needs through adapting lessons and environments.
  • Be adaptable and flexible around the needs of the pupil.
  • Communicate clearly with Class Teachers about the pupils' progress.
  • Have good knowledge of the educational curriculum.
  • Be flexible, creative and adaptable.
  • Have high expectations of pupil through motivation, encouragement and confidence.
