Job Title: KS2 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in the BS6 area of Bristol. The successful candidate will work on a full-time basis with a pupil in their KS2 class, providing support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, where the successful candidate will be expected to work as a 1 to 1 SEN Teaching Assistant. You will be supporting the learning and social development of a pupil with ASD needs, working in collaboration with the SENCO and Class Teacher to understand the pupil's needs and how to meet them through adapting lessons and environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be adaptable and flexible around the needs of the pupil.
  • Have good knowledge of the educational curriculum.
  • Communicate clearly with Class Teachers about the pupil's progress.
  • Be flexible, creative and adaptable.
  • Have high expectations of the pupil through motivation, encouragement and confidence.
Working with Long-term Teachers
