Careers and Employability Manager Lead

We are recruiting for a Careers and Graduate Employability Manager to support the management and leadership of the Careers Team in delivering and developing careers and employability support. This is an exciting new role that focuses on improving graduate outcomes.
The post holder will work closely with the Head of Careers and the wider Student Achievement Services teams. They will develop relationships with key stakeholders across the University and Students' Union, including academic colleagues, and our students, to understand existing careers and employability provision and implement improvements and activities designed to close identified progression gaps.
For this position, you will need a good honours degree and a qualification and background in Careers Guidance and Employability delivery. You should have knowledge of the opportunities available and the barriers students face as they graduate, particularly those who are under-represented in higher education, including mature students and black students.
You will be responsible for line management and leading a team to work with a diverse range of students, employers, and stakeholders. The successful candidate will have experience of successfully implementing improvements and activities to address identified progression gaps.
The salary for this position is approximately £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, based in Preston.
