Counsellor for Survivors of Sexual Violence

We are seeking a highly organised and self-motivated Counsellor to provide one-to-one counselling and group therapy to survivors of sexual violence. The successful candidate will work as part of a growing feminist Rape Crisis service that is developing to meet the needs of women and girls. Counselling is delivered face to face, online and via the phone.

The ideal candidate will have a commitment to na's feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer and well. They will have a 'can-do' approach and be passionate about ending violence against women, girls and children.

The role involves providing a minimum of 10 and maximum of 24 hours a week of counselling services. The successful candidate will be highly organised and able to work independently.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of feminist principles and a commitment to supporting women and girls who have experienced sexual violence. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team and have excellent communication skills.

The posts are subject to an enhanced vetting and barring check and open to women only. Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR), Schedule 9 (Work; Exceptions), Part 1 (Occupational Requirements), of the Equality Act (2010) applies.
