Job Title: Interim Finance Business Partner

SF Recruitment is currently working with a fantastic public sector body in the recruitment of an interim Finance Business Partner (12 month FTC). The Finance Business Partner will provide a business partnering service to the wider business, supporting business decisions with the right analysis, insights and judgement so that better decisions are made while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide trusted advice on all financial and business decisions to enable the organisation to deliver its strategic goals and be the first port of call on all finance matters.
  • Drive and support strategic, financial and operational performance of the business, adding value through effective financial controls and minimising financial risk.
  • Upskill budget holders through delivery of training sessions on various finance subjects, ensuring they have the necessary skills to make informed decisions.
  • Deliver all aspects of business planning, forecasting, financial reporting and control to the highest standard and within set timelines.
  • Review and challenge business cases to ensure they are in compliance with the strategic direction of the business area.
  • Provide finance support for initiatives and projects, ensuring that performance management approaches, including KPIs and dashboards, are developed and maintained.
  • Identify specific business concerns for budget holders and provide proactive solutions, ensuring that project managers and budget holders understand and adhere to financial controls and processes.
  • Support the wider Finance and Procurement team with guidance and instruction to colleagues across the team.
