Job Description

  • Lead a team of junior data engineers in the implementation of innovative solutions for our clients.
  • Develop and deploy production-level data processing systems using tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Scala, and Elasticsearch.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and R&D engineers to champion solutions and standards for complex big data challenges.
  • Articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and ensure best practices are followed.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A background in hands-on technical development with at least five years of industry experience in a data engineering role.
  • Proficiency in Scala, Java, Python, or a programming language associated with data engineering.
  • Experience building and deploying production-level data processing batch systems maintained by application support teams.
  • Familiarity with modern development tooling and technologies supporting automation and DevOps.
  • A strong technical communication ability with demonstrable experience of working in rapidly changing client environments.
