Job Description

We are seeking an experienced driver to join our team as a Logistics Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting medical professionals and equipment to patients' homes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of care.

As a Logistics Driver, you will play a critical role in supporting our Out Of Hours services in Woking. You will be driving GPs and nurses to and from patients' homes, typically when they are unable to see their usual clinician. This is not an emergency service, and you will need to follow all normal rules of the road.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Arriving on time to ensure that the allocated shift car is checked, prepared, and serviceable, no later than the start of the shift time.
  2. Ensuring that any pre-shift car inspections are carried out to check for any damage and lack of cleanliness.
  3. Changing flat or damaged tyres and essential car bulbs when necessary.
  4. Ensuring that all necessary medical equipment and supplies are checked at the beginning of each shift.
  5. Communicating effectively with doctors, drivers, coordinators, patients, and the management team.

About You
We are looking for someone with a full driving license (no more than three points), good map reading skills, and knowledge of the local area. You should also have good communication skills, both in person and by telephone, and basic IT skills for noting information such as itinerary checklists and time logs accurately. The estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
