Job Title: People Partner

We are seeking a strategic and experienced People Partner to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our HR function, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our business objectives by providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of people management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational People Matters: Lead on operational People matters, providing comprehensive HR support and advice to managers and staff, and being accountable for a specialist area of HR service provision.
  • Employee Relations: Provide professional and timely HR advice to resolve employment relations issues and manage complex HR caseloads.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of HR staff to ensure the provision of an excellent HR service, including recruitment, appraisal, and performance management.
  • Business Partnerships: Offer HR and business-related advice in connection with business tenders and workforce aspects of service transfer or new service implementation.
  • HR Systems: Manage effective HR information systems for timely and accurate database management and reporting.
  • Policy Development: Lead in the development and implementation of HR policies and practices.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training courses on all aspects of people management for managers.
  • Payroll and Pensions: Develop and maintain effective links with payroll and pensions providers.
  • Financial Management: Manage a delegated budget and be responsible for one or more specialist areas of HR service provision.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Relevant Degree level qualification or equivalent / Postgraduate Diploma in HR Management or equivalent.
  • Certifications: CIPD qualified or significant demonstrable experience.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in an HR generalist role and providing specialist HR advice on complex employee relation matters.
  • Skills: Sound knowledge of up-to-date employment law and related legislation, demonstrable experience in practical change management techniques and partnership working, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HR Information systems.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade effectively, excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, ability to travel independently as required.
