**Job Summary**

Andertons Music Co. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Guitar Technician to join our team at our Guildford warehouse. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for setting up, inspecting, and repairing guitars from top brands, including Fender, PRS, Gibson, and Martin.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Guitar Setup and Repair**: Servicing and repairing customer-owned stringed instruments with a high level of craftsmanship, ensuring they meet and adhere to set standards.
  • **Guitar Inspection and Quality Control**: Conducting thorough inspections and functional checks of guitars, identifying and resolving any defects where possible.
  • **PLEK Machine Operation**: Setting up, loading, and operating the PLEK machine for analysis and fret levelling, with full training provided.
  • **Customer Interaction**: Interacting with customers, understanding their requirements, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • **Assessment and Administration**: Assessing and administering customer returned guitars, performing quality control inspections, and communicating with team members and Warehouse Management.

**Requirements:**

  • **Guitar Maintenance and Repair Experience**: Working knowledge of guitar maintenance and repair, with demonstrable experience in the guitar tech/repair field.
  • **Guitar Product Knowledge**: A keen passion for all things guitar and extensive product knowledge.
  • **Communication Skills**: Positive, team player with excellent personal time management and communication skills.
  • **Guitar Playing Ability**: Suitable guitar playing ability.

**Note:** Whilst this position may be desirable for hobbyists or enthusiasts, an existing working knowledge of fretted instrument repair and setup is essential. Successful applicants will be required to demonstrate relevant skills and experience as part of a practical interview.
