**Job Summary**

Andertons Music Co. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Guitar Technician to join our team at our Guildford warehouse. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for setting up, inspecting, and repairing guitars from top brands, including Fender, PRS, Gibson, and Martin.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Servicing and Repairing Guitars**: Provide high-quality craftsmanship for customer-owned stringed instruments, ensuring they meet our strict standards.
  • **Guitar Setup and Adjustment**: Set up Electric, Archtop, Acoustic, and Bass Guitars for optimal playability, adhering to our quality control guidelines.
  • **PLEK Machine Operation**: Use our state-of-the-art PLEK machine for analysis and fret levelling, with full training provided.
  • **Customer Interaction**: Engage with customers, understand their needs, and deliver a positive experience.
  • **Quality Control and Inspection**: Conduct thorough inspections and functional checks of guitars, identifying and resolving defects where possible.
  • **Team Collaboration**: Communicate effectively with team members and Warehouse Management to ensure seamless workflow.

  • **Positive Team Player**: Excellent personal time management and communication skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional results.
  • **Guitar Expertise**: Working knowledge of guitar maintenance and repair, with demonstrable experience in the guitar tech/repair field.
  • **Product Knowledge**: Extensive knowledge of guitars and guitar-related products.
  • **Guitar Playing Ability**: Suitable guitar playing ability, with a keen passion for music.

**Note:** While this position may be attractive to hobbyists or enthusiasts, an existing working knowledge of fretted instrument repair and setup is essential. Successful applicants will be required to demonstrate relevant skills and experience as part of a practical interview.
