Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team, which focuses on helping patients regain independence after hospital discharge. Your expertise in occupational therapy will enable you to take a holistic approach, addressing patients' short-term goals and maximising their autonomy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Jointly lead and develop the Home First Therapy team, ensuring high standards of clinical governance.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide specialised treatment for patients with complex needs, offering expert advice to healthcare professionals and carers.
  • SUPERVISE, TEACH, AND APPRAISE THERAPY STAFF AND STUDENTS WITHIN THE SPECIALTY.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Current registration with the Health Professions Council
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through a detailed personal development portfolio
  • Membership of a professional special interest group
  • Completion of a Field work/Clinical educators course

You should have at least 3-4 years of experience at Band 6 level in the NHS, with attendance at postgraduate courses and experience in supervising junior staff. Your ability to apply evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning is essential.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is £38,690 - £44,884 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
