Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Technical Operations Intern. As a key member of our studio operations team, you will play a critical role in the broadcast of CNBC's daily business and financial news programs and recordings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Technical Operators and Studio Directors to deliver 4 hours of live TV News programming and any pre-recorded content that is produced in the London Studio each day.
  • Assist with the preparation of studio sound, including mixing and monitoring studio sound during live TV transmission.
  • Play multiple program Video Tape (VT) material using our Grass Valley playout system, Stratus Rundown.
  • Operate studio cameras in a live news environment and assist with TV Studio Floor Management.
  • Assist with changing and resetting studio lights during production as directed.

Requirements

  • Passion for live TV production and a strong interest in TV broadcast news and live TV studio environments.
  • Ability to handle the pressure of live TV broadcasts and a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team player who can keep calm in a live TV environment.
  • Willingness to work early shifts (5am call time, car service available for early shifts) and can multitask (operating of multiple systems and equipment).
