Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical and Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Uppingham School.


The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head of Mechanical & Electrical Services in developing and implementing a planned maintenance program, overseeing routine and reactive maintenance activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical and electrical systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a planned maintenance program to ensure the efficient operation of our mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Oversee routine and reactive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of our staff and students.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Mechanical & Electrical Services to identify and prioritize maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external contractors and suppliers.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a mechanical or electrical trade, with a strong background in maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and external contractors.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
