  1. To provide clinical and managerial leadership on a continuous basis, working in partnership with colleagues across the directorate with specific managerial responsibility for a team of midwives and maternity support workers.
  2. To be responsible for coordinating, delivering and maintaining a high standard of day to day evidence based practice for all women in the designated clinical area/caseload.
  3. To act as a role model by displaying excellent communication and leadership skills and take responsibility for the day to day line management of the community team.
  4. To partake in coordinating the daily activity of the community midwifery service.
