Lead Construction Cost Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled construction cost manager to lead our team at Resourcing Group. As a Lead Construction Cost Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and management of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects. You will also conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to determine project viability and provide expert advice to project managers, engineers, and contractors.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced construction cost manager to work on a variety of projects, including construction and development schemes. As a Lead Construction Cost Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of construction cost estimators and ensuring that all cost-related activities are carried out accurately and efficiently. You will also be responsible for providing expert advice on contractual claims and disputes and maintaining accurate records of project costs and financial transactions.
Main Responsibilities:
* Oversee the preparation and management of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.
* Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to determine project viability.
* Provide expert advice to project managers, engineers, and contractors on cost-related matters.
* Lead a team of construction cost estimators and ensure that all cost-related activities are carried out accurately and efficiently.
* Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
* Maintain accurate records of project costs and financial transactions.
* Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
* Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum.
