Shorterm Group is seeking a skilled Bus Engineer to join their busy depots on a full-time employed basis.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, preventative maintenance, and modifications of vehicles.
  • Conduct diagnostic analysis to identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a safe and efficient workshop environment.
  • Ensure accurate fault diagnosis and correct part fitting.
  • Provide excellent customer service and complete job cards and service sheets in a timely manner.
  • Take responsibility for the safety of the working environment and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • A strong commitment to safety and a right-first-time ethos.
  • Ability to work independently, remaining focused and consistent, with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues.
  • Commercial awareness and experience in a busy workshop environment.
  • A PSV/Bus license is preferred, with knowledge of related compliance.
This is a night shift role.

Shorterm Group is also looking for qualified car/light vehicle mechanics who are interested in upskilling to become Bus/HGV technicians.
