Associate Director - Accountancy

Mcgregor Recruitment is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our team in the Accountancy practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a client portfolio, developing strong client relationships, and leading a team of Client Managers and Accountants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a client portfolio on an ongoing basis, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Lead a team of Client Managers and Accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Review personal tax computations for client owners, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Review company structure and ensure all new legislation is kept up to date to ensure clients are being tax efficient.
  • Review Annual Returns prepared by the team prior to filing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Complete own compliance work, including preparation of accounts, tax computations, and company, partnership, and individual tax returns.
  • Regularly attend client meetings to discuss future strategies and any tax planning issues.
  • Review budgets and projections prepared by Client Managers, ensuring alignment with client goals.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with financial institutions, such as banks and factoring companies, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure quality of work and all practice procedures conform with governing bodies regarding Accountancy practices.
  • Manage various projects, including finance raising, business planning, and forecasting.
  • Attend external events and represent the business in a professional manner.
  • Support the Directors in the running of the Accountancy practice.
