Job Overview
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classrooms, delivering lesson plans, and maintaining a safe and productive learning environment. This role requires strong communication and classroom management skills, as well as the ability to adapt to different classroom environments.
Responsibilities
- Classroom Management: Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and focused on their work.
- Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and provide feedback to the teaching staff on student progress.
- Discipline and Safety: Maintain discipline in accordance with school policies and ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Student Support: Provide support to students who require additional help with their learning.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties as required, such as preparing materials and resources for lessons.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in a school environment is preferred but not essential.
- Skills: Strong communication and classroom management skills, ability to adapt to different classroom environments, patience, and a positive attitude toward supporting students.
- Certifications: A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
