Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Housing Management Specialist to join our team at Sanctuary Group. As a key member of our Housing Management team, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality housing management service to our residents, promoting independent living, and ensuring the overall well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tenancy advice and support to residents, including interviewing new residents and addressing any concerns or issues
  • Promote independent living by signposting residents to relevant agencies and services
  • Encourage residents to participate in activities and events, fostering a sense of community and social connection
  • Complete mandatory compliance tasks, including health and safety checks, to ensure a safe and secure living environment
  • Monitor and report repairs, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and residents receive timely support
  • Make wellbeing calls to residents via the warden call system, checking in on their well-being and providing support as needed
  • Support the lettings team in managing vacant flats, ensuring a smooth and efficient process
  • Provide cover for other Scheme Managers in the region, ensuring continuity of service and support
  • Manage low-level anti-social behavior, working with residents and other stakeholders to resolve issues
Requirements
  • Numeracy and literacy skills to the equivalent of GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths
  • Experience working with older people, understanding their individual needs and requirements
  • Ability to work independently, manage workloads, and meet deadlines
  • Confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents and colleagues
  • Experience using housing management software and Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A full valid driving license, with occasional travel required for the role
