About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Data Architect Lead to join our team at Kainos. As a key member of our data and AI community, you will be responsible for designing and delivering contemporary data solutions across multiple customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of data-intensive applications, including systems that are distributed and scalable.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in public cloud data platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integration techniques, such as messaging, queuing, and data virtualization, are effectively implemented.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with customers, understanding their commercial implications and providing strategic guidance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in designing, building, and productionizing modern data-intensive applications.
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging data and AI technologies, including IOT, edge processing, and cognitive services.
  • Experience with data integration techniques, such as messaging, queuing, and data virtualization.
  • Ability to prioritize customer concerns and incorporate non-functional requirements into application design.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and empower teams.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in managing others, setting objectives, and leading performance reviews.
  • Active participation in technology communities and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise.
