Technical Manager Opportunity

A key role for a skilled professional to join a leading company in the commercial refrigeration and catering industry as a Technical Desk Manager.

Your main responsibilities will include providing technical assistance to management and engineers, facilitating technical communications between customers and the company, and checking engineers' job sheets to advise on and resolve problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support to management and engineers.
  2. Facilitate technical communications between customers and the company.
  3. Review and investigate onsite complaints, concerns, and warranty claims.
  4. Support the Operations Manager in their absence.
  5. Any other reasonable duties to meet business needs.

Requirements:

  1. Able to communicate and facilitate improvement at all levels in the business.
  2. Manage customer expectations.
  3. NVQ/C&G Refrigeration based qualification.
  4. Refrigerant handling C&G 2079 F-Gas or equivalent CITB certificate.
  5. Minimum 5 years' experience as a refrigeration engineer in service/installation work.
  6. In-depth experience of all different types of refrigeration systems.
  7. Knowledge of electrical requirements of refrigeration systems.
  8. Knowledge and understanding in the application of proprietary control systems applicable to refrigeration systems.
  9. Carry out on-site refrigeration equipment installation to acceptable standards.
  10. High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
  11. Ability to plan and prioritise to meet business and customer needs.

Benefits:

  1. Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm (mainly office based, with occasional site visits).
  2. Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE.
  3. Holidays: 22 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  4. Pension.
  5. On-site parking.
