Sheffield, Sheffield, United Kingdom Roundabout Ltd Full time

About the Upstream Service

The Upstream Service is a groundbreaking initiative by Roundabout Ltd to prevent youth homelessness in Sheffield. As an Upstream Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering this service, ensuring effective delivery of the pre-16 prevention pilot in secondary schools.

Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with participating schools to ensure the Upstream survey is completed by young people. You will then undertake comprehensive assessments of the needs and risks of individual young people identified by the survey.

Based on these assessments, you will provide one-to-one advice and support to young people and refer them to suitable support services. You will draw on a diverse range of partner services, including family mediation, mental health support, and school-based programs.

As a line manager to a team of 5 Upstream Project Workers, you will focus on casework, reviews, and safeguarding of children and families. You will also coordinate multi-agency case meetings and work across all schools to ensure the work is undertaken.

To demonstrate the impact of the service, you will collect robust monitoring and evaluation data. This data will be used to report to funders and showcase the effectiveness of the Upstream Service.

The salary for this position is approximately £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. Roundabout Ltd offers a competitive package, including benefits such as pension scheme, life insurance, and annual leave.

We are committed to actively valuing diversity and encouraging equal opportunities for all. We welcome applications from all sections of the community, particularly those currently underrepresented.
