We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Newham. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a meaningful impact in their lives.

About the Role

This full-time position is set to begin in September, and we are looking for individuals who are eager to support students in a mainstream primary school with a SEN provision. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced educators to develop and implement tailored learning plans for students with SEN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to children with ADHD and learning difficulties, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist in managing challenging behavior, using positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement tailored learning plans for students with SEN.
  • Support small group activities, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience or knowledge of SEN, particularly Autism, ADHD, and Learning Difficulties, is essential.
  • Experience working 1:1 or in small groups with children is a must.
  • Familiarity with managing challenging behavior is advantageous.
