About the Role

Mencap is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Chelmsford. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities, promoting their independence, and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily activities, such as personal care, cooking, and cleaning.
  • Provide emotional support and build meaningful relationships with service users.
  • Support individuals with daily tasks, such as shopping, traveling, and attending appointments.
  • Work collaboratively with a small team to provide high-quality care and support.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Contract Options

  • 30 hours Part-time: flexible hours based on availability.

Shift Times

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life.

Days: Between 07:00 to 14.30, or 9 to 18.00 or 14.30 to 22:00

There is also a sleep-in available (22.00 to 07.00) where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45.
