At ENGINEERINGUK, we are seeking a highly motivated Public Relations and Communications Assistant Apprentice to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our communications department, you will play a vital role in enhancing the reputation and visibility of our organisation through effective public relations and communications strategies.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop your writing, research, and analytical skills while honing your ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. You will gain valuable experience in creating engaging content, coordinating campaigns, and evaluating their performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).

About the Role
  • Create captivating written and non-written content, such as press releases, social media posts, and multimedia assets, and coordinate their publication and distribution.
  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive PR and communications campaigns, from planning to implementation.
  • Analyse stakeholders to inform effective engagement strategies and monitor media channels to stay up-to-date with current affairs.
  • Evaluate campaign performance and use insights to inform future efforts, sharing content with relevant stakeholders and media to maintain positive relationships and influence target audiences.
  • Support the team with administrative, logistical, and time-sensitive tasks, organising stakeholder meetings and events.

You will have the opportunity to explore the latest trends and technologies shaping the future of communications, gaining a deep understanding of the PR industry and its legal and ethical responsibilities.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C (grade 4) or above, including Maths and English.
  • 2 A levels or equivalent qualifications at grade C or above, including an English subject.
  • The ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate drive and a passion for learning, and possess proficient English verbal and written ability.
