Job Title: IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer to join our team at The Corporation of Trinity House. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing network infrastructure, IT support, and security skills to support our organization's digital technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer-focused support skills (first, second, and third-line) and advanced problem-solving management on a wide range of software, hardware, network, and business-critical systems.
  • Work autonomously and apply technical skills for elements of project delivery.
  • Participate in the Service Desk shift roster (shift working hours between 0700-1900 on weekdays) and provide limited out-of-hours on-call cover for approximately one week in eight.
  • Occasional, short-duration travel to our other UK sites may be required.

Requirements:

  • Professionally qualified to MCSE, MCIPT, or equivalent.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Significant exposure to technical IT knowledge at an advanced level, including knowledge and experience of IT Service Desk operation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigations.
  • Understanding of Cloud-based and hosted technologies (e.g., SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).
  • Awareness of web services architectures and the ability to code and script in a variety of languages would be desirable.
