Job Title: Aftermarket Service Technician

As a skilled Aftermarket Service Technician at NOV Inc., you will be responsible for the service, repair, and testing of ASEP K-Winch and Elmar products. This includes truck-mounted and offshore containerized winches, diesel-driven power packs, telescopic, and folding wireline masts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assembly and Interpretation: Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Service and Repair: Conduct service and repair of pneumatic/hydraulic systems, ensuring the highest cleanliness standards are maintained.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and control materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or faults, ensuring products meet NOV standards.
  • Support Initiatives: Support key initiatives such as on-time delivery, schedule attainment, and cost of quality improvements.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a safe, organized, clean, and tidy work area following 5S and LEAN principles.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Contribute to new techniques and product developments, and support the acquisition of new machinery.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend daily team briefings, actively engaging in discussions to identify and solve potential issues.
  • Flexibility: Be prepared to work a reasonable amount of overtime to meet the operational demands of the business.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Education and Training: Time-served apprenticeship (HGV/Plant mechanics) and an NC in a relevant subject.
  • Mechanical Expertise: A background in a mechanical-based profession with hands-on experience in service and repair.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate basic hand and power tools, read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, and ETS, as well as written instructions and procedures.
  • Certifications: Forklift and overhead crane certificates are highly desirable.

  • Team Player: A candid team player who collaborates effectively with peers.
