The role of a Vehicle Technician at Halfords is to perform a range of tasks including servicing, repair and maintenance of vehicles. As a skilled technician, you will be responsible for carrying out diagnostic work and complex repairs, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and on time.



Key Responsibilities


  • Perform routine servicing and maintenance tasks on vehicles
  • Carry out diagnostic work to identify and repair problems with vehicles
  • Complete complex repairs, including clutch and timing belt replacements
  • Work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines and quality standards

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent and a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points. As a skilled technician, you will be able to carry out diagnostic work and complex repairs, and have a good understanding of vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.
