Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse, utilizing your technical expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
- Utilize the latest tools and technologies to maximize equipment effectiveness and efficiency.
- Uphold all health and safety policies and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow in their roles.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects and roll out best practices across a range of EU sites, driving excellence and innovation within the team.
As a Maintenance Technician with our team, you will be based on-site, allowing you to respond quickly to any machinery issues that arise. Your day will be filled with a range of planned preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring our equipment is working safely and efficiently. You will also have the opportunity to make suggestions for long-term improvements, driving positive change within the team.
Working with Our TeamYou will work closely with senior colleagues, undertaking day-to-day maintenance tasks such as painting and plumbing. You will also liaise with contractors when external expertise is required, ensuring that our sites are supported around the clock.
About Our TeamOur Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers. We work together to install automated packaging systems, oversee general maintenance, and repair key distribution equipment. Our team often works during early or late hours to carry out maintenance with minimal disruption, including night shifts.
Requirements- Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject (City & Guilds Level 3, SVQ/IVQ).
- Relevant experience as a qualified engineer.
- Relevant experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
- Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.
