**Financial Leadership Opportunity**

Trial Balance Consulting is delighted to have been re-engaged by a past client, a highly successful e-commerce business trading internationally. The company seeks to recruit a Financial Controller to join their finance team. This is a full-time, permanent position to be based from the company's headquarters, with potential to work remotely one day per week.

The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role, supervising a small team of management reporting and transactional finance-focused staff. Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of colleagues
  • Assume a lead role in managing the day-to-day operational finance function of the business
  • Prepare high-quality management accounts with commentary, aided by a team of experienced colleagues
  • Produce monthly reporting packs and financial analysis
  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance to develop system and process improvements
  • Cost control, month-end journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts
  • Assist in year-end and audit processes

The company is highly technology-focused, so a sound understanding of digital accounting platforms and strong MS Excel skills are essential. Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills are also required.
