Freight Courier Job Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Freight Courier to join our team at Giant Freight Ltd.

This ongoing work opportunity provides flexibility, with a minimum of ad-hoc work at £250+ per day rate available for experienced candidates.

The working schedule includes Monday to Friday, with the option for weekend overtime, starting at 7:30 AM.

A comprehensive payment structure is offered, with a daily rate of £200+ in your own van (minimum Medium Wheel Base, Large Wheel Base preferred).

A thorough training program will be provided to ensure you have the necessary skills to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate delivery vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to traffic regulations and company policies.
  2. Loading and unloading goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
  3. Navigate routes effectively to meet delivery schedules, communicating with dispatchers and customers regarding status and any potential issues.
  4. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any discrepancies.
  5. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
  6. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role is preferred.
  2. A valid driving license with a clean driving record, commercial driving experience advantageous.
  3. Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 30 kg during deliveries.
  4. Familiarity with warehouse operations beneficial.
  5. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  6. Excellent time management skills with ability to work independently and prioritise tasks efficiently.
  7. A positive attitude and commitment to outstanding service essential.
Salary:£25,000 - £35,000 per year, dependent on experience.
