About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Child Protection Specialist to join our team in Brighton. As a key member of our Specialist Adolescents Team, you will be responsible for assessing and providing support to children, families or carers with complex needs.

Your primary focus will be on promoting the well-being and safety of vulnerable individuals, working collaboratively with other professionals to identify and address potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand family dynamics and provide targeted interventions to prevent relationship breakdown and child abuse or neglect.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to develop and implement plans that improve outcomes for children and young people.
  • Prioritize safeguarding duties, carrying out assessments and planning responses to protect children from harm.
  • Maintain accurate records of case activity and contribute to planning forums to ensure effective decision-making.

You will also have opportunities to work with communities, families, and individuals to maximize their strengths and social networks.

Requirements:
  • Relevant Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Continual professional development.
