Corporate Programme Manager

We are seeking an exceptional Corporate Programme Manager to join our Facilities Management service at West Sussex County Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and excellence in our service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of Surveyors, Engineers, and building specialists to deliver high-quality project management services.
- Develop and implement effective project planning and delivery strategies to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including consultants, contractors, and directorate clients, to ensure efficient project planning and delivery.
- Monitor project performance, develop procedures, analyze information, and develop plans and business cases to drive continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain important partnerships to manage the day-to-day direction of the overall project portfolio.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence colleagues, partners, and decision-makers.
- Hold a honours degree or equivalent qualification in a building surveying or related construction discipline.
- Skilled project manager with a detailed understanding of managing building and development projects.
- Previous experience operating a demanding design and project management service.
- Sound IT skills, including Microsoft Project (or alike), with the ability to accurately analyze data and information to effectively manage the project process.
- Experienced people management with good performance management skills and the ability to provide direction and support.
